Transport Recommendations

We highly recommend that guests arrange their own mode of transport while visiting the Daintree Rainforest, as taxi and bus services are unavailable after being dropped off at the lodge. Due to the distances between shops, and attractions, we advise you to plan accordingly and be prepared for the remoteness. Please note that we do not offer any charter services from the lodge. If you have planned activities outside of your package, kindly ensure you have reliable transport to reach them.

Check In Process

For a smooth check-in experience, we ask that you provide an accurate form of contact for your arrival. Though a staff member may not be at the desk, we have staff onsite 24/7. As a small business, we are unable to maintain full-time desk attendance, so we kindly request that check-in times be discussed in advance. Please note that early check-ins and late check-outs are not available.

Travel Route And Navigation

We also recommend reviewing your travel route to ensure a smooth arrival. For navigation, we suggest using Google Maps, as Apple Maps has been known to suggest incorrect routes. The journey from Port Douglas to the lodge should take no more than 90 minutes. Please be aware that a ferry service is required to cross the river, and bookings are essential. You can book your ferry passage on the day of travel or in advance at the following link: Daintree Ferry Website.
