Our Commitment to Conservation

Daintree Wilderness Lodge is a beacon of eco-friendly luxury, located in the heart of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Awarded the Ecotourism Eco Certificate, our Lodge illustrates our determination to counterbalance social and environmental impacts and pave the way for a brighter future.

Minimising Environmental Impact

Construction: Hand-built by Anna Graham and her late husband Mal, with minimal machinery and disturbance to the forest floor, our Lodge is a low-impact project that preserved the natural environment.

Walkways and Stilts

 Designed to protect the canopy floor, our walkways elevate our eco-credentials.

Green Technology and Innovations

Power Source: We run on a Stand-Alone Solar Array system, with battery and generator back-up, reducing our carbon emissions.

Water Conservation: Using spring water accessed via a bore, regularly tested and chlorine-free, we ensure a healthy drinking experience.

Waste Management: Our Bio Cycle Water Waste system and recycling initiatives significantly reduce waste and environmental burden.
