Fantastic rainforest experience

Had a truly memorable experience staying at this accommodation. Me and my partner felt very warmly welcomed by both Scott and Daisy. The location is the Daintree rainforest felt so special, close to beautiful walks and beaches to explore. The breakfast was lovely and the dinners were delicious modern Australian. The cabins are so beautiful and comfortable. A special Australian experience all around. After covid lockdowns in Melbourne this holiday was long anticipated and expectations were still exceeded. We LOVED our stay at Daintree Wilderness Lodge. The place is truly beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. Think boutique bungalow surrounded by rainforest, a wonderful place to base yourself for exploring the Daintree, chill and disconnect from the outside world. We ended up dining at the in house restaurant every night of our stay – food was hearty and delicious, and we loved just being able to stroll back to our room after dinner, often with a glass of wine and DVD in hand. Thanks Scott and team for a lovely stay.

A Hidden Gem! Not to be missed!
Arriving down the narrow gravel road, we were not sure what to expect, but the Lodge turned out to be marvellous! The well spaced cabins are accessed by board walk through the rainforest. Our cabin was so remote the outer shower wall was glass! (One way glass we suspect). The cabins are clean, spacious and very comfortable. With no mobile coverage or TV access it is an ideal place to chill out and relax, (they do have a wide range of DVD’s you can borrow if you want ). The dining area is small and intimate but the meals are superbly prepared and presented. We even managed to see the elusive male and juvenile cassowary on our last day, amazingly lucky.

Great immersion in the Daintree
A really great place to escape north of the Daintree river. We are big nature lovers and the Daintree wilderness lodge was an awesome place to immerse and surround ourselves in such an amazing environment.
The cabins are all accessed by a board walk and are designed to connect you with the natural world around you – both in terms of sights and sounds.
There is also a really nice family run vibe. Most notably, when I became quite sick (unrelated to the actual stay!), the team didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile in supporting me to get the help I needed.

Five stars experience in World Heritage Daintree Rainforest
We spent three days and two night in the Daintree Rainforest. We have never had that opportunity so we didn’t know what to expect. We have researched and by word of mouth elected to stay two nights at the Daintree Wilderness Lodge. The Lodge is located between Daintree River Ferry and Daintree Rainforest. V easy accessible by car. We had a lovely time at the Lodge. Fantastic breakfast (included), Nature Walk (on the premise for an hour to a beautiful creek), excellent dinner every night at the Lodge. The cabin we stayed in blended into the Rainforest surrounding with sky roof, glass shower (we can see cassowaries walking past and they can see us). Sleeping in the cabin gives us experience first hand of living under the Rainforest canopy. We came in Oct and there is almost no signs of mosquito. The hosts and wait staff are all v friendly, helpful and food served is immaculate. All credit to the Daintree Wilderness Lodge Team. We will come again.

Rainforest retreat is excellent
Stayed here for 2 nights in October. Forest cabin was clean, bed comfortable, shower area really nice and tea/coffee etc in the room. Aircon is preset, but enough if things get too humid or hot. No wifi in the room, we saw this as a bonus. Put your phone down and relax. Some wifi in the reception area if you really need the outside world.
We loved our time here, the sights and sounds of the rainforest were amazing.
Breakfast and dinner were first class, as were the staff.

Sleep in the rainforest
What a beautiful little piece of paradise! Cabins are all separate and private with lovely views of the rainforest. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom and lovely handsoap etc. There’s a nice little walk from the car park too. It was a privilege to stay here. Breakfast was great and had dinner at Heritage Lodge , 10 minutes away, which was beautiful too, as they were closed for dinner the night we stayed. Staff were all lovely.

My partner and I visited in November 2019. Lovely cabins immersed in the middle of the Daintree, surrounded by beautiful greenery and wildlife. My favourite part was the shower which had a clear glass window facing the rainforest. Our hosts were also lovely and gave us a very thorough overview of all the best spots to visit. An all-round tranquil experience which cannot be faulted.
