The stay here was absolutely incredible. To be surrounded by the rainforest every morning and night was an incredible experience. Breakfast included was great so I didn’t need to worry, there are awesome choices for dinner also. They have air con and a fan (although wet season I found it was still very very hot because of humidity!) The family who own the resort are so kind and accommodating it was such a world class experience and I have very high standards! Thank you so much to the team at the wilderness lodge for the unforgettable stay. Beautiful escape, 5 stars and highly recommend.

Paradise in the rain!
Despite torrential rain we enjoyed our short stay. Incredible rainforest environment with private cabins nestled between towering vegetation. Great shower and comfy beds, gourmet meals. Friendly and efficient staff led by Scott who kept us updated on the status of the river and ferry which had us locked in. Highly recommended.

A Hidden Gem! Not to be missed!
Arriving down the narrow gravel road, we were not sure what to expect, but the Lodge turned out to be marvellous! The well spaced cabins are accessed by board walk through the rainforest. Our cabin was so remote the outer shower wall was glass! (One way glass we suspect). The cabins are clean, spacious and very comfortable. With no mobile coverage or TV access it is an ideal place to chill out and relax, (they do have a wide range of DVD’s you can borrow if you want ). The dining area is small and intimate but the meals are superbly prepared and presented. We even managed to see the elusive male and juvenile cassowary on our last day, amazingly lucky.

Unique and magical Luxury immersion in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest.
The Daintree Wilderness Lodge is situated in the middle of thick palm fern rainforest, with elevated boardwalks connecting you from the parking area to reception and your cabin. There is no doubt about it – this accommodation is unique and magical. The restaurant is delicious too. So glad we stayed on this side of the car ferry – what a unique place in the world let alone Australia, and the Daintree Wilderness Lodge is a great place to base yourself. On our last morning I woke to a cassowary right outside our cabin – thrilling, and I was rather relieved to have the window between us and the causeway!

We LOVED our stay at Daintree Wilderness Lodge. The place is truly beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. Think boutique bungalow surrounded by rainforest, a wonderful place to base yourself for exploring the Daintree, chill and disconnect from the outside world. We ended up dining at the in house restaurant every night of our stay – food was hearty and delicious, and we loved just being able to stroll back to our room after dinner, often with a glass of wine and DVD in hand. Thanks Scott and team for a lovely stay.

Sleep in the rainforest
What a beautiful little piece of paradise! Cabins are all separate and private with lovely views of the rainforest. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom and lovely handsoap etc. There’s a nice little walk from the car park too. It was a privilege to stay here. Breakfast was great and had dinner at Heritage Lodge , 10 minutes away, which was beautiful too, as they were closed for dinner the night we stayed. Staff were all lovely.

WOW! What a perfect spot for a honeymoon! Every room is like a private sanctuary in the middle of the rainforest. Even the shower has a magical view. I’m not sure how they managed to serve such great food but every meal was delicious. If they have crocodile spring rolls on the menu you have to try them.

Unique , off the grid holiday
Overall a unique experience. Daisy, the manager there, was very accommodating and friendly. We were amazed how she managed to look after the reception , check-ins and the restaurant. There is wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms. Good for a digital detox and focus on the beautiful surrounding that daintree had to offer. Breakfast was provided so I definitely think it was worth the money . Food was good at the cycad restaurant 🙂
