A Hidden Gem! Not to be missed!

Arriving down the narrow gravel road, we were not sure what to expect, but the Lodge turned out to be marvellous! The well spaced cabins are accessed by board walk through the rainforest. Our cabin was so remote the outer shower wall was glass! (One way glass we suspect). The cabins are clean, spacious and very comfortable. With no mobile coverage or TV access it is an ideal place to chill out and relax, (they do have a wide range of DVD’s you can borrow if you want ). The dining area is small and intimate but the meals are superbly prepared and presented. We even managed to see the elusive male and juvenile cassowary on our last day, amazingly lucky.

Daintree is an area surrounded by flora and fauna. There is little to no telco reception which makes the place a peaceful oasis. Our lodge was newly renovated and our hosts were delightful. The property is surrounded by rain forest and local native Australian animals. Meals are within a beautiful setting with farm to table produce and a good selection of wines. We had a wonderful and peaceful two nights and highly recommend the getaway.

We loved our stay at Daintree Wilderness Lodge… a highlight of our trip to Australia. The location is amazing – so peaceful. There were some animals wandering around the property too, including a baby cassowary! The rooms are very private, not overlooked at all, so you can sleep with the curtains open. The room was spotlessly clean and stocked with tea/coffee. The food was great (remember to order your dinner ahead of time), and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable for things to do in the area. Would love to make it back here some day!

Five stars experience in World Heritage Daintree Rainforest

We spent three days and two night in the Daintree Rainforest. We have never had that opportunity so we didn’t know what to expect. We have researched and by word of mouth elected to stay two nights at the Daintree Wilderness Lodge. The Lodge is located between Daintree River Ferry and Daintree Rainforest. V easy accessible by car. We had a lovely time at the Lodge. Fantastic breakfast (included), Nature Walk (on the premise for an hour to a beautiful creek), excellent dinner every night at the Lodge. The cabin we stayed in blended into the Rainforest surrounding with sky roof, glass shower (we can see cassowaries walking past and they can see us). Sleeping in the cabin gives us experience first hand of living under the Rainforest canopy. We came in Oct and there is almost no signs of mosquito. The hosts and wait staff are all v friendly, helpful and food served is immaculate. All credit to the Daintree Wilderness Lodge Team. We will come again.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed!

A truly once in a lifetime experience. Absolutely beautiful location in the middle of the rainforest with only a handful of cabins meant it was a special experience. Couldn’t fault the place at all everything was lovely. Food was 5 star, amazing customer service and the shower overlooks the rainforest. Definitely an amazing place!

Unique , off the grid holiday

Overall a unique experience. Daisy, the manager there, was very accommodating and friendly. We were amazed how she managed to look after the reception , check-ins and the restaurant. There is wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms. Good for a digital detox and focus on the beautiful surrounding that daintree had to offer. Breakfast was provided so I definitely think it was worth the money . Food was good at the cycad restaurant 🙂

Wonderful rainforest retreat

This place is amazing. We woke up to the sound of the rainforest and showered with a window looking onto the rainforest. The food was fantastic, both for breakfast and dinner. You order your meals ahead and BYOB. Our cabin was really comfortable, we only needed the aircon occasionally as the fan was great. We sat outside the cabin early with coffee listening to the forest wake up. We used the cold jacuzzi to cool down after a long day sightseeing. The host gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Highly recommended

Beautiful location. Unique little cabins with part glass roof situated well amongst the greenery. When it rains everything comes alive. The owner the next morning cooked us a beautiful breaky and mapped out everywhere worth exploring. This was my favourite accommodation of the entire trip. Bring food, there’s no shops around but you can order dinner at the hotel if you tell them in advance.

Loved it!!

Loved everything about the Lodge! Warm welcome, the cabins are lovely and located right in the forest, secluded from one another for privacy. We had a gorgeous shower with view on the trees and were also positively impressed by the restaurant. Our barramundi and Nasi Goreng were delicious, as was the breakfast. We were not lucky with the cassowaries, but I’d still advice to take the short walk around the lodge.

Sleep in the rainforest

What a beautiful little piece of paradise! Cabins are all separate and private with lovely views of the rainforest. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom and lovely handsoap etc. There’s a nice little walk from the car park too. It was a privilege to stay here. Breakfast was great and had dinner at Heritage Lodge , 10 minutes away, which was beautiful too, as they were closed for dinner the night we stayed. Staff were all lovely.

I wish I had taken more photos. The Lodge is fantastic and made all the more incredible by the amazing hosts. The food, atmosphere and beverages were great. David even tweaked the dessert menu to suit us. The rooms are lovely – the basin in the bathroom is gorgeous! Cant wait to go back!

Delightful luxury in the rainforest!

Beautiful boutique accommodations in the world’s oldest rainforest. Don’t come to the Daintree if you are expecting the Ritz. This place is lovely, charming, and delightful!Wonderful dinners, helpful and friendly staff, with modern, clean, and ‘California Big Sur’ styled cabins offer wonderful rustic luxury deep in this ancient rainforest. Set amongst towering and majestic trees and ferns, the property’s elevated walkways immerse guests in the magical wonderland of the Daintree.

Perfect rustic luxury!
