Perfect getaway
Was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. You can’t beat the fresh air and scenery in this rainforest. The cabin was cozy and perfectly clean and well decorated. The dinner was amazing – still dreaming about the barbecue ribs and mash. No wifi or data in the rooms and rather slow wifi provided in the main area. Not their fault as the area was very spotty and they did the best they could. Perfect place to unwind and disconnect!

Great rainforest stay
We loved our rooms on stilts and especially the showers with a view of the rainforest. Dinner was excellent – barramundi – and we had delicious eggs Benedict for breakfast. It was lovely eating outside under the stars and we were lucky to see a possum in a tree. A special shout-out to the chef for his excellent 80s playlist while he was cooking dinner! There’s a walk through the forest down to the creek which we enjoyed and Ross gave us really helpful recommendations of places to visit, including Cow Bay. We loved Cow Bay – beautiful like Cape Tribulation but without all the tour buses. There are rope swings over the beach there which the kids really enjoyed.

Great immersion in the Daintree
A really great place to escape north of the Daintree river. We are big nature lovers and the Daintree wilderness lodge was an awesome place to immerse and surround ourselves in such an amazing environment.
The cabins are all accessed by a board walk and are designed to connect you with the natural world around you – both in terms of sights and sounds.
There is also a really nice family run vibe. Most notably, when I became quite sick (unrelated to the actual stay!), the team didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile in supporting me to get the help I needed.

Had a truly memorable experience staying at this accommodation. Me and my partner felt very warmly welcomed by both Scott and Daisy. The location is the Daintree rainforest felt so special, close to beautiful walks and beaches to explore. The breakfast was lovely and the dinners were delicious modern Australian. The cabins are so beautiful and comfortable. A special Australian experience all around. After covid lockdowns in Melbourne this holiday was long anticipated and expectations were still exceeded. Unique , off the grid holiday
Overall a unique experience. Daisy, the manager there, was very accommodating and friendly. We were amazed how she managed to look after the reception , check-ins and the restaurant. There is wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms. Good for a digital detox and focus on the beautiful surrounding that daintree had to offer. Breakfast was provided so I definitely think it was worth the money . Food was good at the cycad restaurant 🙂

Daintree is an area surrounded by flora and fauna. There is little to no telco reception which makes the place a peaceful oasis. Our lodge was newly renovated and our hosts were delightful. The property is surrounded by rain forest and local native Australian animals. Meals are within a beautiful setting with farm to table produce and a good selection of wines. We had a wonderful and peaceful two nights and highly recommend the getaway.

Beautiful boutique accommodations in the world’s oldest rainforest. Don’t come to the Daintree if you are expecting the Ritz.This place is lovely, charming, and delightful!Wonderful dinners, helpful and friendly staff, with modern, clean, and ‘California Big Sur’ styled cabins offer wonderful rustic luxury deep in this ancient rainforest. Ultimate Rainforest Stay
The Daintree Wilderness Lodge is the place to stay if you are looking to experience a complete immersion into the rainforest in absolute comfort. You drive off Cape Trib Road and into the lodge and immediately you are in the thick of the forest, with fan palms, ancient trees and vines all around you – we even saw a cassowary in the car park! Elevated walkways connect each cabin to reception and the restaurant and there is even a great rainforest walk on the property.
The welcome and recommendations we received on check in were top notch and the food was delicious! Highly recommend dining in – the restaurant is just for in house guests and has a great intimate feeling. Great wine list too.
The bed was very comfortable and the cabin was spacious and filled with light during the day – the large windows throughout, including in the bathroom makes you feel like you are outside, not in.
We spent a weekend here and cannot wait to come back.

I loved our stay. This place is roughly in the middle of everything too. The staff are amazing and were completely accommodating. I was impressed by the rooms too. The pictures they have online just don’t show enough justice. We were able to wake up to the sound of birds and seen a few right out our door. Few frogs graced us with their presence too. I highly recommend this place over any North of the River crossing (23 dollars rt). I think there are a total of 8 cabins so you will not be around a bunch of noise/people either. Complete relaxation. Do the river tour with “Mic” he knows his stuff!
