We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The location is beautiful and secluded, like no other place I’ve been before. I think I enjoyed it more and more each day as I got used to the Daintree spirit and could really appreciate the magic and the surroundings.
The rooms are so fitting to the Daintree; rustic, wooden, cosy and welcoming. They have aircon, ceiling fan, fly screens on the windows, tv, mini fridge, kettle etc.
Bathroom is beautiful with a window looking out over the forest from the gorgeous shower.
Breakfast order is taken the day before and is brought out as soon as you arrive, beautiful fruit platter to start, and then very generous portions for main. You can book for dinner as well which is useful as there aren’t a lot of choices in the area, food was great.
Last but certainly not least, we fell in love with the managers and have to give a special thank you to Margaret as we had a lot of laughs with her and looked forward to seeing her each morning at breakfast. Nothing was a problem, even when we locked ourselves out one night haha. Margaret went out of her way to tell us about hidden gems we should see and you could tell genuinely loves sharing this knowledge and ensuring you have a great experience during your time in the Daintree.
If you want a truly magical nature/rainforest experience in a beautiful, secluded part of the world, I recommend this place. If you want a resort with lots of amenities and room service etc, this may not be the right choice for you, but you would miss out on all that it does offer ❤

Fantastic rainforest experience
Just loved the entire Daintree experience including the stay in a unique rainforest cabin. Nice and quiet with rainforest views. The food was excellent and Daisy, Scott and family were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would definitely return. Thanks guys. We loved it. Mark, Rachel and Julia.

Great immersion in the Daintree
A really great place to escape north of the Daintree river. We are big nature lovers and the Daintree wilderness lodge was an awesome place to immerse and surround ourselves in such an amazing environment.
The cabins are all accessed by a board walk and are designed to connect you with the natural world around you – both in terms of sights and sounds.
There is also a really nice family run vibe. Most notably, when I became quite sick (unrelated to the actual stay!), the team didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile in supporting me to get the help I needed.

We had a terrific stay at the Daintree Wilderness Lode! If you are looking for comfortable accommodation that makes you feel completely immersed into the rainforest then this is it. Awesome food, lovely staff and we even saw a cassowary in the car park. Highly recommend for those that want to explore the daintree, love the outdoors and want to disconnect for a night or two.

A Most Memorable Experience
We had a wonderful time here, staying 4 nights which is just about right. The place is so peaceful and you are genuinely immersed in the forest. We particularly enjoyed the cold spa pool which we sat in at the end of each day, enjoying a local beer. Veronica and the staff were great and gave us lots of information on the best places to visit. The evening meals were fabulous and they had a good selection of wine and beers. It was particularly nice being able to dine outside each evening. Highly recommended.

My partner and I visited in November 2019. Lovely cabins immersed in the middle of the Daintree, surrounded by beautiful greenery and wildlife. My favourite part was the shower which had a clear glass window facing the rainforest. Our hosts were also lovely and gave us a very thorough overview of all the best spots to visit. An all-round tranquil experience which cannot be faulted.

Such friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms are beautiful and simply stocked. The dinner we had on site was just delicious and they even packaged breakfast for us the night before seeing as we would be leaving early. Would 100% recommend if your looking for a nice relaxing getaway.

A little jungle Hideaway
After comparing a range of accommodation options for the Daintree, I am so happy to have booked and stayed here. We arrived to a warm welcome and a run down on the local attractions and best beaches to visit in the area then shown to our delightful room that made me think of a luxury treehouse. each room is accessed by a boardwalk, and all seem to feel very private especially our room #4. I think there are only 7 rooms in total, so there is an intimacy and a feeling of exclusivity which was lovely after some other more generic stays in the area. The room was super clean and the bathroom with its full glass wall, simply beautiful – you feel like you are showering outside, but without the bugs joining you. Dinner and the included breakfast are in the dining room and every meal we had was delicious. i would recommend grabbing the sole table out on the deck under the little gazebo for breakfast – you get the best views of the birds in the trees. No wifi in the rooms, so time for a digital detox and if you want to watch something on the tv, grab one of the supplied DvDs.
It was actually hard to leave this little forest haven, everybody was super friendly and we just loved it here.

While booking a cabin at the Daintree Wilderness Lodge online, I thought it was too good to be true. However, the Lodge actually far exceeded our expectations. Daintree Wilderness Lodge is a boutique hotel, with only 7 wooden cabins, each one having its own attached bathroom. Our bathroom were very spacious and clean. Each cabin is quite large and is connected to the reception/breakfast area through an elevated boardwalk. Each cabin is away from the next cabin, so privacy is not an issue. The Lodge is located in the middle of the forest and yet is so easily accessible by car (no need for a 4×4). Our cabin had a little skylight too which meant that during the day, there was no need to switch on any lights, and in the light you could see quite a few stars even with the dense forest canopy.
Daintree Wilderness Lodge is a family-run establishment. Scott, who overseas the running of the hotel, is friendly, super helpful and kind. He gave us some great suggestions and advise so that we could make the most of the Daintree. Many people visit Daintree only as a day-trip, but I honestly feel that that does no justice to the majesty of the forest. We were there for 3 nights, but perhaps one more day would have been nice. After a long day of walking and trekking, it was great to just be in the hotel and wind down. While you are in the Daintree, consider yourself to be “off the grid”. Mobile connection (especially internet) is very flaky throughout the forest, with a few pockets where you get connectivity. In the hotel, there is Wi-Fi in the reception/breakfast area but not in the cabins. There is no live TV connection but there is a TV and a DVD player, and a pretty good selection of DVDs!
I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to stay at the Daintree. If I ever visit again, this is where I would be staying. We even got a discount by booking directly on their website.

We loved our stay at Daintree Wilderness Lodge… a highlight of our trip to Australia. The location is amazing – so peaceful. There were some animals wandering around the property too, including a baby cassowary! The rooms are very private, not overlooked at all, so you can sleep with the curtains open. The room was spotlessly clean and stocked with tea/coffee. The food was great (remember to order your dinner ahead of time), and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable for things to do in the area. Would love to make it back here some day!

Daintree is an area surrounded by flora and fauna. There is little to no telco reception which makes the place a peaceful oasis. Our lodge was newly renovated and our hosts were delightful. The property is surrounded by rain forest and local native Australian animals. Meals are within a beautiful setting with farm to table produce and a good selection of wines. We had a wonderful and peaceful two nights and highly recommend the getaway.

Had a truly memorable experience staying at this accommodation. Me and my partner felt very warmly welcomed by both Scott and Daisy. The location is the Daintree rainforest felt so special, close to beautiful walks and beaches to explore. The breakfast was lovely and the dinners were delicious modern Australian. The cabins are so beautiful and comfortable. A special Australian experience all around. After covid lockdowns in Melbourne this holiday was long anticipated and expectations were still exceeded. Thank you to Scott and Daisy.
